Class Expectations
Attendance
Regular attendance is essential and expected. Students are responsible for work they missed due to absence, and will be expected to provide a note from their parent/guardian. Arrive to class on time with the necessary materials!
Homework
All assignments and labs are due at the beginning of the class. It is your responsibility to have assignments and labs completed on time.
Late Assignments
Assignments and labs which are handed in past the due date will receive a deduction of marks per class. Late work must be turned in before the marked assignment and lab is returned to the class.
Equipment + Materials
You are required to bring a binder, lined papers, agenda, writing materials and scientific calculator.
Washroom + Locker
You must ask for permission before using the washroom or going to your locker. Only one student may leave the room at any time. During quizzes and tests, no students will be permitted to leave the class.
Exam Security
All exams (tests and quizzes) must NOT be removed from the classroom. You are welcome to review your exam(s) in class, during lunch, and after school. Removal of an exam from the classroom for any reason or copies of the exam by electronic or other means will be handled according to the school’s policy on cheating.
Academic Dishonesty
Any portion of a lab report or homework assignment that is similar to that of another student will be considered cheating. Cheating is a serious offence and will result, in the very least, in a score of zero, notes to your counselor and administrator, and a call home. Refer to the student agenda for further details on academic dishonesty and cheating.
